किडनी कैंसर: पेशाब में खून, कमर के बगल में दर्द या गांठ किडनी कैंसर के लक्षण हैं। अक्सर सोनोग्राफी में संयोग से पता चलता है। एडवांस बीमारी में टार्गेटेड थेरेपी व इम्यूनोथेरेपी मददगार है।
Kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) is often found by chance on an ultrasound done for another reason.
Warning signs
- Blood in urine
- Pain in the side or back, a lump in the abdomen
- Weight loss, fever, tiredness
Diagnosis
Ultrasound and CT scan; biopsy or surgery confirms the type.
Treatment
- Surgery (removal of part or all of the kidney) is the main treatment for early disease
- For advanced or recurrent cancer: targeted therapy tablets and immunotherapy, which have greatly improved survival
- Regular follow-up scans after surgery
