Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral letter to consult?
No. You can book directly on WhatsApp or by phone. Please bring all previous reports, scans and biopsy reports.
Is chemotherapy given with admission?
Most chemotherapy, immunotherapy and transfusions are given in our day-care unit and you go home the same day. Admissions, when needed, are at Medicover Hospital, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Does a biopsy spread cancer?
No. A biopsy is safe and essential – treatment cannot be planned correctly without it.
Can cancer be cured?
Many cancers are curable, especially when found early – for example breast cancer, lymphoma, childhood leukaemia and testicular cancer. Others can be controlled for many years with modern treatment.
Do you accept government schemes or insurance?
Please call the clinic to check current coverage under MJPJAY / PM-JAY and your insurance policy for the treatment you need. We will guide you on paperwork.
Can I get a second opinion without travelling?
Yes. Send your reports on WhatsApp and book a video consultation.
Is bone marrow biopsy painful?
It is done under local anaesthesia. Most patients feel pressure and brief discomfort; it takes 15–20 minutes and you can go home soon after.
